Sebastien Brunel

Senior Vice President Procurement - Middle East, Africa, Turkey & Asia Pacific, Accor / Astore

Sebastien Brunel is a seasoned professional with over 27 years of experience in supply chain and procurement. Currently based in Singapore, he serves as the leader of procurement for Accor / Astore, across Middle East, Africa, Turkey and Asia Pacific, a role he assumed in September 2019.

Sebastien's Accor journey began in 1997 when he spearheaded the establishment of the first procurement office in the UK. Since then, he has held various leadership positions across Europe and the USA. In 2007, he played a pivotal role in implementing procurement strategies for Accor South America, where he remained for seven years. More recently, Sebastien joined Accor North America following Accor's acquisition of FRHI, where he was part of the integration team responsible for incorporating the new brands (Raffles, Fairmont, and SwissĂ´tel). Throughout this period, he actively contributed to Avendra, the largest Group Procurement Organization (GPO) in North America, collaborating with other industry giants like Marriott and Hyatt. Avendra services over 10,000 hotels, making it one of the largest GPOs in the industry.

Sebastien's educational background is diverse and reflects his commitment to professional growth. He holds a degree in Hospitality Business and pursued post-graduate studies in Supply Chain in London. Additionally, he completed an MBA in International Business Management at FGV San Paulo in Brazil, with international extensions at the University of Hong Kong and Irvine University California in the USA.

Passionate about sustainability, Sebastien firmly believes that procurement plays a vital role in reducing carbon emissions, combating food wastage and key topics like human right policies. He is dedicated to implementing sustainable practices at the source to benefit Accor MEA APAC and drive positive environmental impact.
